Bryan Starr - Former Officer with Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce

A resident of Irvine, CA, Bryan Starr served as an executive officer with the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce until stepping down in 2024. Prior to his role with the city’s chamber of commerce, Bryan Starr was the senior vice president of government affairs for the Orange County Business Council, also located in Irvine, CA.

A position he started in 2012, Mr. Starr’s role at the Orange County Business Council involved managing government relations, public affairs and policy, communications, and political affairs. He cultivated and maintained coalition partnerships and managed political action committees (PAC). He also developed relationships with elected and appointed officials, and was involved with fundraising for key programs and events. In addition, he was also a keynote speaker for professional organizations.

In 2017, Mr. Starr became a thought leader and spokesperson for the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce, . He served as head of public affairs, head of government relations, head of government affairs, head of community relations strategy, and head of strategic communications. He also oversaw workforce development and economic development efforts including trade promotion and export services.

Mr. Starr’s most recent accolades include being named Orange Council Business Journal’s 500 Most Influential for five consecutive years beginning in 2019. He was also the Western Association of Chamber Executives Executive of the Year in 2018 and the recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration Inland/Orange County Chapter Community Excellence Award Recipient in 2019, among other honors.
